SSS-1 Student Hangs Self in Class Room

ILORIN — There was pandemonium in Oro Grammar School, Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara
State, yesterday when a student was found hanging in one of the unused classrooms.

One of our correspondents in PremiumReporters reliably gathered that the student simply
identified as Anthony Oyeniyi, a native of Oke-Rimi, was a  Senior Secondary School 1 (SSS-1) student of the school.

The tragic incident happened at about 2 pm, prompting the school authorities to shut the school
gates against prying eyes.

The late student was said to have been sighted much earlier among his colleagues.

When we visited the school, all appeals to be allowed into the school compound were turned down.

One of the male teachers who manned the gate directed newsmen to meet the police authorities for details as the incident had been reported to the police.

Contacted, spokesman of Kwara State Police command, Ajayi Okasanmi, said he was aware of the incident but that he did not have details.
